Belonging
Anyone is welcomed to join us in worship at Christ Church with no strings attached. We would love to make you feel at home for a season, or even as a one off.
As you join us in worship you may feel that you really want to belong to this community and to get futher involved in the life of the church. Just like in the book of Acts, Chapter 2, where the writer describes the commitment that the early church had to one another and to doing the work of God. If you feel that this is your home, then there are 5 things that we encourage all Christ Church members to engage in...
How to Belong
- Worship regularly with the church family
For many this is the starting point of belonging to Christ Church, but not all. Worshiping together with the rest of the Body of Christ is a vital part of being in God's family. It allows ut to worship together, encourage one another and recieve teaching and prayer to empower us to follow Jesus 24/7. (Our Services) - Join a Cell Group
Cells are small groups of people who meet together in each other's homes throughout the week. Cell groups are the primary place to build relationships, develop accountability, receive pastoral care and share in prayer ministry. This is the best way to really belong. (More about Cell Groups) - Pray and read your bible daily
The church family is an amazing place of support where we can uphold each other in the Lord. But it is also vital that we worship God in the secret, quiet place. All members of the church are encouraged to pray and read their bible every day. 30 minutes is suggested as a good amount of time to put to one side for this. (Prayer and Worship Resources) - Serve in the life of the church
There is a huge network of volunteers who lead, run and help out with the different ministries in the life of the church and in mission. Living a life like Jesus did means a life of service. There are roles for people with all different gifts and skills and passions. Put your God given abilities to good use (How to get involved) - Give sacrificially
When we give our lives to Jesus it means surrendering everything we have. The bible teaches us to give sacrificially... but also joyfully! We have nothing to give that didn't first come from God's hand. So we encourage all members of the church to give generously of their income. We give prayefully and in faith that the money is used for the advance of God's Kingdom. (more about finances and giving)
